About Me

Hi!  Hello!  Those are the most appropriate, nicest, and ethical words that can connect us to anyone...familiar or a stranger.  So Hi! and Hello! to you whoever you are.

Interesting that we can always say a lot about other people but not quite about ourself.  You don't have that problem?  Good for you, you know..because before I decided to start with this page, I think I have browsed like about 30 or 40 of other people's About Me pages..and yet still, I don't know what to say or write about myself.  Would I like to have it in points form..or paragraphs..or just pictures only?  Then one day it just came to me.  I started having thoughts of what to write or say and decided to combine all those 3 things in my page.  And that day is..today.

I was born and raised in Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia.  I was the only child to 2 great parents until 7 years later when my brother, Ian, came into our lives...then followed by Amy, 3 years later, and Melvin, 2 years after that.  I won't lie.  I do miss being the only child back then but I realize later on..and so thankful for it..that having siblings brings a lot more colour to my life.  We're not the perfect family.  We have our ups and downs, especially when we (the kids) were a lot older having way different opinions than our parents.  You know, going through those growing up stuff...when you start to feel that your parents just doesn't understand you, not being fair, and not cool enough..that kinda thing.  Just the norms..

To name some, I grew up to Sesame Street (love it till today!!), 321 Contact, Art Attack!, Jem, Thundercats, Transformers, Woody Woodpecker, Smurfs, TV Series: 8 Is Enough, Little House on the Prairie (hated Mary to the core!), Remington Steele (Mr. Pierce will forever be my hottie!), Incredible Hulk (why is it that when David turned into the green monster..everything else would tear except for the waistline of his pants? Have you ever thought of that?), Night Rider, Dallas, McGyver, Charlies Angels, Chips, Starsky and Hutch, Sitcoms: Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, The Cosby Show, Different Strokes, Movies: Jaws, The Omen, The Karate Kid (the young Ralph Macchio..*swoon*), Star Wars, and a lot more.  When I was about 3-5 years old, I was told that Elvis Presley, Janis Joplin, and Jimmy Hendrix had died.  Not that I have anything to do with them.

On to the next details, I think I will use point forms.

As a Person:

*  Generous.  Sometimes too generous that I tend to overspend.

*  Sensitive.  I can even cry watching Sesame Street!

*  Alvin claims that I can be long-winded at times, but I was just being detailed (in denial..).

*  Quirky, funny and cute.  I take this from what people say.

*  Procrastinates.  Hate it!  Still struggling with it.

*  Afraid of going to the dentist.  I hope my child(ren) will not inherit this from me.

*  Cannot swim.  But I can float.

*  I can wiggle both of my pinkie toes!  Can you?  Teeehehehe!

*  Caring.  It's one of the best gift you can give to another human being.

*  I'm good at remembering car plate numbers.

*  I'm not good at remembering names.

*  If someone tells me their secrets, I tend to forget them a short while after.  Which is good because it's meant to be a secret anyway..LOL!

*  I believe in having balance in life.  Most probably because I am a Libran...but truthfully, because I think that you need to have the bad in you in order to mold yourself into the best of you.

*  I don't believe in having many friends but I believe in having quality ones.

*  I believe in creating my own rainbow in life...otherwise, it would be just colourless and dull and grey.

*  I think the word 'Complicated' in a Relationship is a load of crap and self-made.  It is plain and simple.  You are either in a relationship or you are out of a relationship.  Anything in between is just you!

*  Addicted to the internet, and addicted to the Sims pc game...to the core!

*  Try to make myself a better cook.

*  I don't eat duck.

*  I am afraid of snakes, maggots, worms, and any similar reptiles.

What I Like:

*  Being a wife to Alvin and a mother to Mr. X.

*  Daisies.  I think they're the sweetest and cutest among all flowers.  They never fail to make me smile :).

*  Chocolate.  Especially when you share them with your loved ones.

*  COFFEE!  I just couldn't live without it.  I was once banned by the doctor from taking it for a whole 3 months stretch due to having too much caffeine in my blood!

*  MUSIC.  I cannot imagine my life without it.

*  Walking along the beach or just sit and watch the sun set or rise.  I just love the peace and tranquility that it brings.

*  READING.  It helps me to learn, to dream, and unwind.  At most times, it is better than watching a movie because I'd get so involved in it.

*  SINGING.  I inherited it from my parents ;).

*  Cheesecakes.  Yummy yum yum!

*  Ice-creams!  Gotta have them!

*  Caesar Salad and Swiss Mocha Latte at Coffee Bean.  Superb!

*  Cold rainy days.  At most times, the chill would cause me to pretend that I am in some European countries in Fall or Winter season, sitting down sipping my hot chocolate with lots of colourful marshmallows.  It makes me dreamy too.

*  CARDMAKING AND SCRAPBOOKING.  It's the best feeling to see a smile or an excited happy face when you give them a handmade card.  And Scrapbooking is to remember some of the best moments in my life not only by the picture but the journal that I include in it as well.  Above all, crafting helps me to de-stress and have my "me time" - an escape route from the craze of the world.

*  DIY home decor projects.  Staying crafty and creative means staying sane!

*  Collecting Handbags.  I have slowed down on this now.

*  Vintage and Shabby Chic.  T-shirts, home decor, etc.

*  Collecting Shoes.  I have slowed down on this one too.

*  Car Rides.  See people's house or their flower garden or just go about around town or go to remote areas or places I've never been.

*  TRAVELLING.  Although I haven't got the chance to often do it so.

*  Playing in the rain in my rubber boots and raincoat.  I used to do that a lot when I was small.  I miss it.

*  HOLDING HANDS with Alvin.  *swoon*
*  Butterflies.  They're so pretty, so free:).

*  Watching movies.  And popcorn!

*  Sitcoms and TV Series: My Wife and Kids, Ally McBeal, Friends, Ugly Betty, Desperate Housewife, Glee, The Nanny, Family Guy, Little Britain, Benny Hill, Mind Your Language, etc.

*  Movies: You've Got Mail, Bed of Roses, Titanic, Sleepless In Seattle, Bridget Jones Diary, Notting Hill, Pretty Woman, City of Angels, A Walk To Remember, The Notebook, The Wedding Planner,  The Boleyn Girls, The Holiday, The Lord of The Rings, Bruce Almighty, Ace Ventura, Batman, Indiana Jones, Oceans 11-13, Star Wars, Shawn of the Dead, etc.

Note: Those in capital letters are the most critically essential in my life.

What I Dislike:

*  Bittergourd.  Yuck!

*  Unhygenic people.

*  Body odour.

*  Modified motorbikes with the loudest sound, seems as if they've been filled with steroids!  Hate the owners the most!

*  Drivers who doesn't signal, who drives at 30mph on a right lane, and bloody selfish on the road.  Where the heck did they get their driving lessons?!

*  People who cut a line and never feel a little bit remorsed over their act.

*  Insecured people.  Just cut the crap and get a hold of yourself; look very closely in the mirror and say "there's nothing wrong with people...I am the one with the problem and needs help badly"!

*  Hypocrites.  They're the world's most vicious pest!

*  People who promises and never keeps them.

*  Liars!  Liars!  Liars!

*  Show offs!  I categorise them in the same label as Insecured People.

*  People who share their complaints or anger very early in the morning.  Especially when they use vulgar words.  It can really affect the good mood.

*  People who are disrespectful of others..and self-centred.

*  People who have very low manners.  Burps and spits and pick their nose anywhere, anyhow.  Disgusting!

*  Bali style garden.  Just not my taste.

*  Modern style house or home decor or furniture.  Doesn't feel homely to me.

*  When travelling by air..I hate the landing part.

*  People who peek behind your shoulders while you're doing your transaction on the ATM machine.

*  Ironing.  I'll start cursing when it comes to the ones that's hardest to iron.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Wow..!  From nothing to say to too much things said!  That's a huge achievement for me (Bravo!  Pat on the back..).  This can easily be the longest and most open freakin' details about me!

So there you go.  Peace and may God be with you.
