My Scrapbooks

When my Mom passed away
I couldn't do almost anything.
And I couldn't get myself
to sit and craft.
But crafting was one of the things
that gave me peace
apart from praying.
So I tried venturing Digital Scrapbooking.
And I got hooked for a while
because it helps me to forget
about the sadness and pain.

And through my pain
I created these.
Two of them
are made using
Quick Pages
but the rest were made
from scratch ;p

My cousin Evonne
celebrated her 28th birthday
beginning of this month.
I made this for her
as a present.
I am glad she likes it
as much as I did;p

The picture

of Raya
this year (2010).
Also

1st Raya outing;p

8" X 8"

This 3
means a lot to me
grew up with me
laughed with me
cried with me.
I love
and look forward
to grow old
with them.

This photo
is one of the
most cherished ones
I have.
It holds the memory
of a start
of a beautiful
and blessed friendship
that I have
with my dearest friends,
Ivy and Macdorna.
Love them
with all my heart.

Another take
of all the bridesmaids
with Ivy.
The photographer
asked us to say "Konika!"
for the camera.
I love this
unique shot.

This one is taken
during my cousin,
Ivy's wedding.
A photo of the 3 of us
(Macdorna, myself, and Angie)
as bridesmaids.

I am so so happy to say that I've added another element into my "Rainbow Building Quest".  Let me tell you a little bit about the project.

It started with an email I shared with one of my dear friends, Macdorna.  I was sharing Dear Lizzy's blog link with her and tried to talk her into creating her own blog and she said "my life is so boring, there's nothing to write about".  I told her that life is only boring when you don't create your own rainbow.  And the rest is history.  We would try to create our "rainbows" every now and then...trying not to leave so much gap in between.  We would share them in FB or for me...in my blog here.  It is so much fun and gratifying to be able to share each others passion, be it in crafting or gardening or cooking (we haven't gone into cooking yet though...).

Back to main point, as the Title says...again...I am happy to say I have started scrapbooking.  Yippieee!  You have no idea how happy I am (actually it feels like doing those little cute runs like Melissa Gilbert did in Little House on the Prairies' episodes way back in the 80s.  What was her name there again?  I kept forgetting..).  Also I could actually make a happy run around the dining table (where i craft most of the time) and make Mr. X (who sits in his walker) go dizzy watching mummy in confusion.

Enough said, here's a start to another new passion of mine.  I'm so glad I could share it with you as well.

God bless.
